Among our staff of professionals are fire alarm technicians and engineers certified by NICET, the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies. NICET-certified engineering technicians and engineering technologists have knowledge and training of components, operating characteristics, applications and limitations of the engineered systems specific to their areas of operation. In order to become NICET-certified, a person must pass a comprehensive test based on industry-standard knowledge.

Electrical Equipment Company has been a Notifier Fire Systems partner since the 1960's. Throughout that time, both EECO and Notifier have continued to experience great growth and remain current with fire alarm regulations and technologies. We are excited to provide Notifier's newest and most advanced product yet, the Onyx series.

Notifier Fire Systems, a worldwide manufacturer or fire alarms and fire detection products throughout the world, recently unveiled their new series of panels called Onyx™. Notifier designed this series so that it would be the perfect product for any fire detection need, small or large. The NFS-640 Panel is expandable, networkable, and scalable. All components for the Onyx series share common programming, hardware and technology so a fire alarm can be easily installed and programmed.

The Onyx series is very flexible, offering many configuration options for adding a variety of communication and output modules. Three display options are also available; A low-cost non-display node, an 80-character LCD for local annunciation, or an intuitive 640-character LCD display can be added to the panel, depending on budget limitations or specific system features. Programming can be made either with a PC or an optional built-in keypad.

The new system features backward compatibility for easy integration with older Notifier products, including Uni-Net 2000 and Noti-Fire-Net networking products
